Baltimore Shooting Investigation: 21-Year-Old and 38-Year-Old Injured in Northwest District Gunfire on Reisterstown Road as Police Launch Probe
A shooting incident in Baltimore’s Northwest District has prompted a major investigation after two men were injured in gunfire late Tuesday night, according to the Baltimore Police Department.
On May 13, at approximately 9:18 p.m., officers from the Northwest District responded to reports of gunfire in the 3400 block of Reisterstown Road, a busy corridor in Northwest Baltimore, Maryland. When patrol units arrived at the scene, they discovered a 21-year-old male victim suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Emergency responders quickly rendered aid before transporting him to a nearby hospital for urgent medical treatment.
Shortly after the initial response, a second victim was identified in connection with the same shooting. The 38-year-old man, also struck by gunfire, was found to have sustained a non-life-threatening injury. Investigators later learned that after being shot on Reisterstown Road, he managed to drive himself to the 2400 block of N. Dukeland Street, where he sought help. He was subsequently transported to a hospital for further treatment.
Authorities have not yet released details regarding a suspect or possible motive, and the investigation remains active as detectives continue gathering evidence and speaking with witnesses in the area. Police have also not confirmed whether the two victims were targeted or if the shooting was a result of a dispute or other circumstances.
