Police have identified two men who were fatally shot outside a residential home in Vaughan, Ontario, as investigators continue to examine what authorities believe was a targeted attack.
York Regional Police confirmed that the victims were 49-year-old Pasquale Casciato and 34-year-old Christian Belsito. The two men were shot and killed while standing outside a home near Kaiser Drive and Forest Drive at approximately 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
Police said in a news release that early findings suggest the shooting was not random, but a targeted incident. One of the victims was confirmed by officers at the scene to live at the residence where the shooting occurred, while the second man also resided in the surrounding neighbourhood.

Authorities are currently examining whether there is any connection to a vehicle fire that occurred roughly 12 kilometres away, where an SUV was discovered fully engulfed in flames near Huntington Road and Kirby Road.
